About Me

Hi there, I’m Josee – with two e’s. I am a Boston based journalist but grew up in Cherry Hill, NJ.
Just like Boston winters, my academics are at two degrees. Currently, I’m a junior pursuing a B.A. in International Relations and a B.S. in Journalism at Boston University.

When I was four, I loved stories so much that I would sleep with my storybooks under my pillows. Now, I’ve found some new ways to channel that passion without the neck pain.

I produce BUTV10’s daily news program The Wire and write features for The Daily Free Press.

My work as a community engagement intern at WBUR 90.9, Boston’s NPR News Station, gives me the chance to “keep democracy running.” I also spend my time at the Boston University School of Law as an editorial intern.

With a global perspective, I am a proud member of the Boston University International Affairs Association. I produce the International Relations Review’s digital video segment REACT News and design layouts for the published journal.

As a development and communications intern for the Institute for Justice and Democracy in Haiti, I worked on advocacy and human rights efforts within Haiti.

And of course, I can’t forget my love for BU. I’m a proud Coordinator for the  COM Ambassador program and Dean’s Ambassador for the Pardee School of Global Studies. I’m always available to chat about student life and where to find the best food on campus. I spent this past summer in scarlet as a Student Advisor for Orientation.

In my free time, I love to dance to early 00’s pop hits, make delicious fajitas, and cheer on the Boston Bruins.

Thanks for taking the time to read a little about me. Now, I want to hear about you!  Click on over to “Contact” on the sidebar and tell me your story.

Peace and Love,

Josee
